Irena is an attorney-at-law at the Warsaw Bar Association. She graduated from the University Paris-1 - Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Pau, France.

Before joining Modzelewska&Paśnik, Irena worked at the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection (UOKiK) where she specialized in public antitrust enforcement for 9 years. At UOKiK, she conducted preliminary and antitrust proceedings in the industrial and services sectors. Irena managed teams carrying out unannounced inspections of business entities. She represented UOKiK before the Court of Competition and Consumer Protection, the Warsaw Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

As Poland’s delegate, Irena participated in working groups of the European Competition Network and the OECD Competition Committee. Irena also conducted training on UOKiK’s activity in the area of competition protection.

Irena currently advises undertakings on antitrust matters.

Irena is fluent in English and French.
